We like to think a picture tells a thousand words and art comes in many forms and can paint many pictures. Lounge Around was a whimsical piece of street furniture in Queensland's Paddington. The carved concrete base was encrusted in vitreous glass mosaic, in the style of a traditional 1940s textile and draped with someone's hand-embroidered tapestry throw. When a form of concrete cancer flagged a restoration of the work, Brisbane City Council decided to remove the work rather than complete the restoration. The work Highlands Rest is now in its place.
