Established in 1994, Scott Harrower Design is founded on the belief that good aesthetics dramatically influence the way we live. After cultivating a love for Roman mosaics and stonework, Harrower segued from the retail and fashion industries to make SHD his tour de force. SHD cares about the community and is endlessly excited by the opportunity to engage with others, to realise a wholistic vision that encompasses Placemaking Statements (public art), Community Projects and Engagement Programs, Creative Education Programs and Health Awareness Workshops. We operate from the Byron Bay hinterland on the far north coast of New South Wales, Australia. The studio is 100% powered by renewable energy from the Sun. We stand alone, off -Grid to ensure our work is clean and green.

Our Stonemason

Inspired by a family tradition of quarrying sandstone, Greg White's passion for the tradition of stonemasonry is evident in his classic, sophisticated and hand carved designs. Cutting his teeth when a young man building dry stack walls on English farms, he serves as our Stonemason and Landscape lead on a diverse range of building projects. Greg’s exceptional skill in Ashlar, random rubble work and passion for hammer and chisel carving provides for a gracious edge to domestic and commercial construction. Greg's fascination with stone is synonymous with the changing patina imbued by the shifting light of the day; one cannot help but want to touch it.
